Keeping My Sanity through Lets Mix

 |  by  |  No Comments  |  Share

So now that I’m building tons of sites, doing tons of keyword research etc… I find myself bored out of my mind. My brain is turning to mush and I thinks me is turning into a zombie.

To stop myself from returning to the land of the living dead ( Amazing zombie movie by the way, check it out on Netflix ). I’ve been listening to some HIGH ENERGY music to keep me somewhat sane.

I don’t usually spend the day listening to House, DNB, Trance etc, but I’m officially addicted to

Check it out if you’re having trouble keeping your eyelids up.

One of my favorite mixes is this one:

Challenge Time…

 |  by  |  2 Comments  |  Share

Hello boys and girls, it’s now the start of a new month and as I’ve mentioned before, I’m on a bit of a challenge.

– 100 new blogs
– 25 affiliate site

by July 31st 2010.

Where am I now?
Well see what happened was… ok I’ve done a good amount so far so no beating up myself.

Now I have 30 affiliate domains ( to sell products for a commission) and 0 new blogs. Don’t worry this will all be ramped up soon.

What I’ve done is go back over the original domains I bought, about 13 and market them properly before I move on to new sites. Then I’ll make another pass over to put out more articles to market these old and new sites. It’s a lot of work, but I’m sure it will pay off.

What’s The Plan for July?

Definitely it’s time to ramp up like I’ve mentioned before so I don’t look like a complete moron. 0 out of 100 is not really awesome in anybody’s book.

But now that I have a hang of the process and setting up these sites, I should be able to knock this all out.

So build build build and then spend more time getting them all out there.

That’s it for now, in the next updates I’ll drill more down into the process I’ve learned. I’ll find out if it’s a successful process after all this work of course.

We’ll see… stay tuned!

My Bucket List

The Bucket List

I said earlier this week that I’ll be sharing some of the things I wanted to achieve throughout my life. So here it is!

Of course I have more, but some are more personal… I will be adding more as I go along, but decided to live up to the promise and make a post of them there.

Mission Possible – Challenge Time

 |  by  |  No Comments  |  Share

Since Monday ( well couple days before that ), I’ve been working on my little challenge.

Like I’ve mentioned before, I do better with challenges. Last time I tried to do 90 videos in 90 days. Um… didn’t quite finish, but I did do about 70. #FAIL… but that’s way more than I’ve ever done before.

The challenge?
100 Blogs by July 31st
25 Affiliate sites by the same date.

The goal is to research them, build them, market them and by July 31st, monetize them to start making some money.

The whole point is to create a bunch of sites to earn passive income, so I can spend more time doing this I love doing.

Playing Catch up…

I’ve spent some of the time brushing up on my internet marketing skills, since it’s been some time that I’ve actually marketed money making blogs. It’s not like I made a bunch of money before, but those skills have helped me in many other areas of business.

What I did find out is that a lot of things have changed and many have remained the same. So not much to worry about there. What’s new is that there’s a bunch of new software out there to help make things easier, like wordpress for creating sites quickly, software to promote your marketing content to tons of networks and basically many ways to automate so you don’t have to work like a slave doing everything. Great!

What hasn’t changed, is that you have to do tons of work upfront before you even make any money and of course it all comes down to volume. Cranking out so many sites, although made easier with software etc, is still a challenge.

Progress So Far?

Researched a bunch of profitable keywords for the blogs and affiliate sites. ( 52 blog keywords | 15 Affiliate Keywords)

  1. Installed 15 Affiliate Site
  2. Registered Domains
  3. Written Content for 11 of Those Sites
  4. Written articles to promote said sites
  5. Bought & found software to help with the automation process ( Magic Article Rewriter, Market Samurai, and Traffic Travis )
  6. Bought memberships to article distribution communities to get as many links back to my sites so they rank better. ( Unique Article Wizard, Article Ranks and Article Marketing Automation )

This all seems to be tons of work, but it has to be done and what I’ve decided to do is batch a lot of things so I get them all in at one time.

So I’ll research all my keywords at once, buy all my domain names at once, install all site themes at once, etc.

It’s all been tedious, but it will pay off a few months from now.

Anyway, that’s it for now.

No rest, no breaks, look like a cavemen without a hair cut and focused on only internet marketing.

The challenge continues, stay tuned….

So What’s The Gameplan?

What's the Gameplan

Alright so post #2… wow, talk about dedication huh?

So here’s the plan for this blog, of course plans can change, so don’t freak out if it does.

Here’s the plan, I’m going to use this blog to share some of my goals and aspirations etc and also use it to challenge myself and maybe even a couple of people.

This week I’m going to list some of my bucket list, to dos, to accomplish etc. Definitely encourage you to do the same for yourself. ( All 2 of you readers! )

Also this week I’m going to start my internet marketing challenge, it seems I get tons done when I challenge myself, so starting Monday my challenge begins to create 100 blogs by July 31st. Yah that’s a lot, but I’m going to just get it done.

No these aren’t blogs like Perez Hilton or Bossip or whatever your favorite “waste my time at work” blog is.

These are small 5-10 page niche blogs for affiliate marketing. Basically setting up blogs to make money promoting products to make a commission or make money by someone clicking on an offer.

Don’t worry, you’ll get the gist of it when I start… and no this is not a bunch of spam telling you to by Viagra or Booty pops or whatever. So no need to get nervous.

Yes those are the only two plans I have so far for… oh now 3, I’m going to share some of the stuff I find interesting whether it’s music, life, and other ramblings.

Stay tuned…

P.S. …

JD I’m 2 blog posts ahead of you now. Where’s your blog?

Welcome to My Rework

 |  by  |  No Comments  |  Share

So what’s this site My Rework all about?

Well it’s pretty much a place, where I’m jotting down everything I’m up to and all the cool and uncool projects I’m tied into.

Yeh exciting right?

What really inspired it was a late week binge reading session where I consumed everything in a couple of books, Art of Start by Guy Kawasaki, Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuk, 4 Hour Work Week and Rework by the guys from 37 Signals.

Right now I’m reading Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh of Zappos. ( Probably some of the non geeks have heard about them as well. )

Also inhaled an ebook and material by this internet guru named Yanik Silver who talked a lot about living the Maverick business lifestyle etc.

I guess you can tell that I have tons of times on my hands. Either I’m filthy rich or a total idler. I’d like to think of myself as an entrepreneur in transition… ok yes I’m the latter of the previous two, an idler.

This binge reading inspired me to get off my ass and stop transition, actually do something about being a brilliant bum.

So in a round about way that’s what this blog is about, me not being an educated bum, reconnecting with my goals and actually living again.

It’s also to keep me accountable and maybe even inspire a couple of other folks to change their life around. ( As long as you have life, you have a chance to be better.)

Anyway this is getting longer that I’d hope it to be, so stay tuned.

I’m going to go more into my plans for this blog and my new journey in my next post.

For now check out this inspiring vid by Will “Fresh Prince” Smith.
